Hi guardians so bungie has given us some news on what to expect with the last live event for destiny 1 and they also gave us some more information on Destiny 2.
So lets start with the information of what we know about Destiny 2 so far, so there hasnt been any release date announced yet but what we do know is that your characters will transfer towards Destiny 2 but only if they are at least level 20 and they must have completed the Black Garden Mission. I am sure your main character will be fine by now but do check your second and third characters, if you want to carry these forward do check whether the black garden mission has been completed otherwise you will lose that character.
As for the gear , bungie mentioned that “ Destiny 1 power, possessions, and Eververse-related items and currency will not carry forward. “ So this basically means that all of your armor , weapons , and eververse items wont get transferred into destiny 2.
It is really a shame that we cant bring our gear over, since we have spend so much time on collecting these but I do understand that it will be hard to balance the game if you have to take into account legacy armor and weapons. As for the eververse items, it sucks for the people that spend money on emotes and items as these wont get transferred into Destiny 2.
There are no word about emblems , I guess we will hear about that later.
They also plan to reward veteran accounts with honors that reflect your destiny 1 accomplishments. Judging from accomplishments from the previous years, this will probably be some sort of emblem.
So that is all the news regarding destiny 2.
So what can we expect with the upcoming months. So we know that Bungie is delivering us the Age of Triumph at the end of march, this is probably another record book that is linked to certain rewards. Next to that we also got our hands on some pictures with references to the old vault of glass raid. On the first picture we can see the vault from the raid with a vex in front of it, and there are more vex references in the second picture, where it seems that the armor has some Vex characteristics I mean that is a Vex Leg right?
And on the third picture we can see the Raid logo on the right side, so this can indicate there will be some kind of a weekly raid.
So it is pretty clear that the Vault of Glass raid will be coming back, but it is unsure yet in what kind of form. Will this be just a light level bump or is the raid reworked like what they did with the Siva and Taken themed strikes? But it seems that there will definitely be new armour that you can earn. There are no references to any of the raid weapons coming back but if we can get the vault of glass raid weapons that would be freaking amazing. I highly doubt about this since the primary weapons have elemental damage and Bungie wants to stay away from those. So I guess time will tell.
So All of this will be highlighted in next weeks livestream.
