Goodbye PS3

You have been with me for 5 years and I remember the first time we met, you looked so beautiful and you were so smart. We were together for so long but lately there are just some things that are not the same anymore, it would take forever to get your ready for a session, and when you were ready we would have issues connecting with each other.
I am afraid I have to move forward and I will have to leave you behind, thanks for all the memories you will be missed.

With the Rise of Iron expansion only going forward to current gen consoles I had to let go of the ps3 and I moved over to a PS4. As you might know I was one of the few youtubers to be on the Playstation 3 and over time I gained a lot of friends on this console. I am very sad to leave the PS3 and my friends, I hope a lot of you will be able to move over to the PS4 as well.
I am able to afford it but I know that some of us might not have the resources to buy a Playstation 4 and I do not like it that Bungie just leave those people behind. It was mentioned that around 10% were still on last gen, taken into account that there are around 30 million active users of destiny, this means that 3 million destiny players will be left behind if they do not move over to current gen consoles. That is a huge amount of people as for a matter a fact 3 million is around the same amount of people living in Chicago!

But as I moved over to PS4 I do see the benefits, the graphics are much more crispy , and everything loads much faster. I remember that when I was in a strike and I had to pop a three of coins it could take a full minute before I was able to do this, with the ps4 it was a matter of seconds. Also the controller is arguably one of the best controllers of all consoles.
Moving forward I hope that Bungie does take the full advantage of these current consoles and utilize this in their games, and it was not just a method to lower the cost of maintaining additional consoles.

To all my playstation 3 friends and subscribers, I hope you are able to move forward as well to the current gen and continue to enjoy the game. Thanks for all the play time together, and I hope to see you in the next expansion. See you later guardians.

Swaye here with some Iron Banner news, the Iron banner is once again coming up this tuesday 16th of August. And during this Iron Banner week you will be able to get the Helmets and Chest pieces as for weapons the Fantastic Hand Cannon Finalla’s Peril and the mediocre Shotgun Deidris's Retort.
I will be grinding for the Finalla’s Peril on my new psn swayegaming account as i thought it is about time for me to get a psn account that matches my channel name, feel free to add me as a friend and join my fireteam when i am online.
I already have a Finalla’s Peril with Range Finder, Reinforced barrel and grenadier on my other account and I hope to get a similar one, at least with Range Finder and either reinforced barrel or rifled barrel, and for the last perk luck in the chamber or hidden hand will just be the icing on the cake.
I already created an in-depth weapon  review video about the Finalla’s Peril, check it out in the description below or have a look at the infocard that should pop up around now.
I know a lot of people like the Eyasluna but to me this is my Favorite Hand Cannon, the gun is snappy and accurate and this is my go to weapon in the crucible at the moment.

Now for the Iron Banner news and changes, the upcoming Iron Banner will be the last one in this current form. With the new Iron Banner going forward in the Rise of Iron we will have a couple of changes going forward.

First of all we will have our own social space, no longer do we need to go to the back of the tower anymore, the new social space for iron lords will be at Felwinter Peak where also the new Iron Banner Vendor will be located. The Iron Banner Vendor is said to be selling Iron Engrams which will decrypt into year 1 and year 2 Iron Banner gear.

Secondly the reputation system will be reworked. The buff where you get more points towards the end of the week will be gone! You just need to participate in the Iron Banner events to get the appropriate reputation points. So this also means that you do not need to wear the Buff Class items , shaders and emblems anymore! You can rock out any gear you want!
This is a great update to the iron banner, sometimes Iron Banner pops up in a busy week where I do not have a lot of time to play, so instead I collect all the bounties and cash them all in on the last day. With this change it will give people more options to play whenever they want instead of waiting it out for the last part of the week where the buff is more beneficial.

Thirdly the Iron Banner Bounty system is getting some changes as well, the new bounties suppose to be less demanding , which will ease the grind to level 5! I am super excited about these changes this will allow guardians to get their loot faster and as a result this will free up more time for guardians to play other activities like nightfall or raids.

Those are all the changes coming to the Iron Banner in the expansion update. Let me know how you like these changes in the comments below, I am excited about the fact that it seems like the Iron Banner will be less grindy than now, hopefully that can encourage players that ignore this event, because of the time commitment , to enjoy Iron banner  now as well.
That’s it for todays video, subscribe to stay up to date on the Rise of Iron news and updates and as always I will see you later guardians.

Kill Confirmed [aka Supremacy] coming to Destiny

Hi Swaye here with some Rise of Iron update today,  with the new expansion coming up we have some great news. One of my favorite gamemode is coming to destiny which can change the current crucible, which is a kill confirmed mode called Supremacy. We will talk about this game mode in this video and how this will affect the crucible.

The Description of this gamemode says: kill enemies to make them drop a crest , your team only scores if someone picks up the crests and the enemy can also pick up that crest to deny your score, but they wont gain any points.

For the people that are not familiar with this gamemode it is essentially team deathmatch with a  twist, you do not get points for killing an enemy... you will get points for collecting “crests” which will appear when a guardian is killed. Obviously the team with the most points will win. The crests can fall from all killed guardians so it could be coming from both your teammates and the enemy’s team. But you only get points from crests that are dropped from your enemies, and you can deny points by picking up crests that are from your allies. So you can not just be a slayer in your team , you will need to pick up the crests in order to gain or deny any points.

With this new game mode in place we will have yet another objective game mode in our crucible list. I think this is a good addition to the current crucible , at the moment in my opinion we have only a small set of fun objective game modes. There is Zone control where you get points for holding the zones, not to compare this with regular control where you get points for kills, Salvage …..when people are playing this correctly instead of using this game mode for sweaty matches and ignoring the salvage objective, and not to forget Rift is also an objective game mode. I like the fact to have kill confirmed added to the crucible because the gametype is simple and fun which does not necessarily need a lot of communication, this in comparison with Rift which sometime can be fun and sometimes can be very frustrating because a good game really depends on how everyone in the team is working together. Sometimes it magically happens when everyone is in the right spot and doing the right thing and winning the game without any microphone communication , but most of the time there is no co-operation and you will easily lose out against a team that has a better set up.
Rift is really one of those modes where you really need to have a captain directing the team otherwise it can easily fall apart.
So its good to have kill confirmed, which from my call of duty experience is a lot of fun, it is not only about your K/D, it is simple and you can work as a team or you can play it like a lone wolf.

With this hopefully we can step away from the K/D mindset , which can partly be blamed on the current way how crucible works. We have a lot of game modes in the crucible which is all about killing the opponent, think about clash, rumble, doubles, and of course Trials of Osiris.
Not everyone can be a good shooter, to a matter a fact I dont have a good K/D … but I can stand my ground on the crucible every ones in a while but I am no nKuch or True Vanguard, and I dont mind because I have a lot of fun no matter what K/D I am ending up with in a match. I like to switch it up every now and then by trying out different guns, using different subclasses and using different perks so I can make review videos for you guys. Sometimes I like to use a more rambo in your face build, while there are times I just want to mess around and use a non standard gun for example  like a fusion rifle instead of the more popular sniper or  shotgun load out.
And for me this is fun, by trying out new things. There are some people out there that are obsessed with their K/D , and as a result they become defense and only use those couple of weapons, gear and subclass without switching it up, because this is their most effective build. I am not saying that is wrong, if you want to keep your K/D high you need to have the most effective build and if they like to do this and they enjoy by having an high K/D that is fine.
All I am saying is, this game has so much variety in the amount of guns , perks and subclasses that there is a lot of opportunity to explore and that is what I like from this game to try out different weapons and different builds.

So I am very excited to have Supremacy as a game mode that will be introduced in the next expansion. Let me know what you guys think of this game mode, would you play it, and let me know what your favorite game mode is in the comments below.
I will be making more video’s of the Rise of Iron expansion as we are coming closer to the launch, so subscribe to stay up to date on my latest videos and as always I will see you later guardians!

The BEST Rise of Iron Artifact!

The Best Rise of Iron Artifact!

Hi Swaye here, the new Rise of Iron expansion will have artifacts with unique abilities! This is a great addition to the current game as before the artifacts were basically useless, it did not added any value to your build and it was a big hurdle to get to max light level as there were limited options in getting a high light level artifact.
So it is great to see that with the new re-worked artifacts that it can add some variety in your build.

At the moment of making this video there are 8 known artifacts and in this video I will give you in my opinion which one is the best. Again this is my recommendation to you all, it could be that you have a different opinion and that is fine, I would like to hear your thoughts as well, share it in the comments below.
So before I tell you what my top artifact is let’s have a quick overview of them all.

Memory of Radeghast: adds a new ability for sword heavy weapons to reflect projectiles, including ogre blasts and crucible rockets.

Memory of Perun: adds ability to highlight guardians with full super in yellow, and guardians with low health in red

Memory of Jolder: removes sprint cooldown

Memory of Silmar: dramatically reduces any damage dealt by Damage over Time effects , such as Thorn poison

Memory of Felwinter: lose your super, but gain an extra grenade and melee, and boost to all stats

Memory of Gheleon: gain detailed radar at all times, including when aiming a primary . It basically gives you precision radar and third eye.

Memory of Skorri: speeds super recharge for all nearby allies

Memory of Timur: Melee an enemy for a chance to make them an ally for a short time

So those are the 8 artifacts all named accordingly to the iron lords. Before I reveal my pick, let me explain what a best artifact should do for me. In the ideal scenario the best artifact should help and improve my gameplay, without too many negative side effect, it should not be situational where it is only beneficial at certain times and ideally the artifact should be useful in both Pvp and Pve.
Based on these requirement let's see which artefacts we can eliminate.

Lets start with the Memory of Radeghast, while it is useful to reflect projectiles, however this ability is very situational. In crucible this is only useful during heavy ammo moments and in Pve you can simple dodge most of the projectiles. Given the fact this is so situational and that it requires you to equip a sword for this artifact to be useful , we are going to eliminate this from our list.

Going through the same methodology , we will also eliminate Memory of Jolder, which removes sprint cooldown, and Memory of Silmar, which dramatically reduces damage over time effects.
While memory of Jolder does improve mobility it will not help me directly getting more kills or make me more lethal, and damage over time is again very situational.

Melee an enemy and have them as an ally sounds very interesting but I do not see any significant use with this, and thus we will also eliminate Memory of Timur.

Memory of Perun which highlights guardians with super and the ones that are in low health will be great in Pvp , but its useless in Pve. As a cautious player you should always keep your distance from your pvp enemies and the supers have a distinct sound so you can run away when you hear someone pop their supers. It will be kind of hard to run away from fist of havoc or nova bombs, but then again you can’t keep your distance from the ones that are having a full super forever you will have to face them sometimes. So Memory of Perun is also not the best artifact in my opinion.

That leaves us with Memory of Felwinter  where you lose your super but gain an extra grenade and melee, and boost to all stats.
Memory of Gehelon where you gain a detailed radar at all time.
And Memory of Skorri which speeds super for all nearby allies.
While memory of skorri can be very helpful in pvp and pve to have faster supers for your allies it does require your teammates to be near you. In Pvp you do not want to group up all together, as it is very important to have team members to flank the enemies and in pve raids most of the time team members are required to split up to do some form of mechanics. So while it sounds very helpful I dont see much useability in practise.

So that leaves us with either the artifact to have radar up at all times or losing the super but gain an extra grenade and melee and boost to all stats.

And with that in my opinion the best artifact is the memory of felwinter which grants you an extra grenade , melee and boost to stats at the sacrifice of your super.
While gaining a radar at all the time is very helpful, I do have my concerns with that as it will make you rely on it too much. Knucklehead radar used to be my favorite exotic in year 1 but I realized that without it I felt very uncomfortable and I did not had any confidence in my spacial awareness. I noticed that in order to be a better player I should not be relying too much on the radar and thus the best artifact is in my opinion the Memory of Felwinter.
Yes you do lose your super, which can be insanely powerful and it offers you ability to have multi kills or counter a super. But having not only an extra Grenade but also an extra melee AND it also boost the rest of your stats you will basically become a superman in the crucible.
Not only that it will also let you rethink the use of your exotics, you can eliminate the use of exotics that enhance your super or the exotics that gives you an extra melee or grenade.
So while have a boost to your stats and having double grenades and melees, Hunters can improve their mobility even more with radiance dance machines or bones of eo, or be more lethal with bladedancers by pairing this up with ATS/8 Tarantella.
Imagine the Warlocks with the stability boost and rocking the thaloc and the RAM.
Or the Titan where you dont have to choose between the armamentarium and the twilight garrison anymore.

So given the vast amount of extra possible builds that the Memory of Felwinter offers this is in my opinion the best artifact that you should try to obtain in the Rise of Iron. It will make you a superman in the crucible and it allows for very interesting builds that have not been tried before.

Do you agree with me ? Let me know which artifact you think is the best.

600 Subscribers Inspirational Video

600 Subscribers Inspiration Video

Hi Swaye here and today I have a special video for you. Normally I am busy working on weapon reviews videos but this video is very special to me. It is very special to me because we have reached a big milestone of 600 subscribers. I have never imagined the huge support that i got from my videos. In total we reached over 150 thousand views, which is insane.
I am very thankful to all of you who have ever watched one of my videos!
So in return I thought lets talk about how I started this channel and what inspires me to make videos for you guys and ladies.

When I first got my hands on destiny I immediately fell in love with this game. I enjoy the shooting in the crucible and I also like to explore the world on the different planets and fight bosses. I also liked discovering the different classes slowly getting to know the abilities of these classes and subclasses, I remember I started of with a Hunter and I literally had goosebumps on my arms when I first used blink!
That movement was just so cool and unique I just love it. The designs of the world , maps and guns are truly a piece of art. You can really tell that the designers put a lot of thought and effort in making the game. I can highly recommend you to watch the videos again where bungie explores the dreadnaught with the designers.
You can really feel the passion when you hear the designers talk about their design choices and how they want to portray certain emotions towards the player.
And the lore… oooh the LORE. For a long time I did not spend any time on reading the lore, but when i started with it… it is truly amazing. The story of Dredgen Yor with the Thorn and the Last Word is so good and lore wise there is still so much to explore and so many questions are still open. It is really too bad that the game does not do a better job of telling the story of Destiny.

So while I was playing destiny I also watched a lot of YouTube videos to stay up to date on the latest news. And after over a year of playing destiny and watching a lot of youtube I thought I gained a lot of knowledge about the game that I want to make videos for the community.
Thats how I started with creating weapon review videos mainly focused on legendary guns. Some have asked me why I am not reviewing any exotics. Well I wanted to…. but I think there are already a lot of videos about exotics and I cant see how me adding another video will benefit the community. So thats why I focus more on Legendary weapons, and I think Legendary weapons are more fun to talk about because unlike exotics the rolls can differ. And having a specific roll can fundamentally change the whole gun.

At the moment I am finishing up the weapon reviews on the iron banner and challenge of elders weapons. I really would like to hear from you what you would like to see in my channel.

When you compare this channel with other channels you will see that my upload is less frequent. This is because a weapon review video can take up a lot of time. First of all I need to acquire the gun in the first place, and once I have it I will test this for at least a week to feel comfortable with it so I can write a review about it. Unfortunately this takes up a lot of time which does not allow me to upload videos every day like other youtubers. But I will try to see what I can do and get more videos delivered to you all.

And give me Feedback what you would like to see! This channel is partly yours as well so lets work together and make this a worthwhile channel for the Destiny community.

I guess I will end the video with that, thank you again for your tremendous support on getting 600 subscribers. I am looking forward to grow this channel together towards a 1000 or even more!

Thanks again and as always I will see you later guardians! Peace!
