This Ill Will is a crazy hand cannon that can two tap a guardian with luck in the chamber.
So lets talk about it!

Hi guardians, today we are going to review the Ill Will Hand Cannon which can be dropped from the crucible. The Ill Will is the highest hitting hand cannon in the 94 impact category together with the Iron Banner Lingering Song and the arms day Judith-D hand cannons.
The high impact hand cannons are not that popular in the crucible due to the immensely slow fire rate, slow equip speed, it takes forever to reload, the stability is crap, it comes with a low mag size and the aim assist is low as well.
The only redeeming factor what that these high impact hand cannons have is an high base  range stat and that it hits hard.
So why the hell are we talking about the Ill Will, well in general the high impact hand cannons are indeed really bad and you are definitely better off with a Palindrome or any other hand cannon in the mid impact category, but with the right perks the Ill Will can be turned into a two shot hand cannon.

And I am lucky enough to have the right perks on my Ill Will, mine has TrueSight IS, RangeFinder, Rifled Barrel and Luck in the Chamber. This is to be considered the God Roll.
I have RangeFinder and Rifled Barrel to max out the range and I have Luck in the Chamber which turns this gun into a two shot weapon when luck in the chamber procs.
And because of the high base range of 50 I can actually also choose explosive rounds for the extra damage and it also has the extra benefit of disorientating the opponent by messing up the screen when the explosive rounds hit.
But I like to play to the strength of the Ill Will which is the high range and high impact so I prefer to use rifled barrel to max out the range and minimizing the damage drop off from the gun.

So I already mentioned that the Ill Will hits hard, but how hard does it actually hit. Well it will do 64 damage to the body and 95 damage to the head. So this can actually bring down a low armor guardians with two crit shots, but you don’t see often guardians running with low armor stats so that doesnt happen that often.
So you will still need 1 crit shot and 2 body shot to bring any guardians down reliably. This makes the time to kill 1 second, whereas the other mid impact hand cannons like the palindrome and Eyasluna kill with the same amount of shots but they do so at a faster fire rate with an optimal time to kill of 0.86 second.
But with luck in the chamber on my Ill Will I will have more chances on two tapping guardians making the time to kill 0.5 second when luck in the chamber procs.

And that happens pretty often due to the low mag size of 7 which now comes in handy with luck in the chamber. You can even bring this down to as low as 4 with feather mag or braced frame, but then you will need to be very accurate since you cant afford any misses when you only have 4 shots.
But in my case I have to do with 7 and I did not have any problems with this low mag size, but you will definitely run out of bullets if you are dealing with multiple enemies.

So how does this gun perform in PvP? Well this gun is definitely not a Meta gun, and you will probably not see this in competitive play but this gun is really fun to use. The range is really high and with the initial accuracy being buffed since the last february patch your first bullet will hit reliably and since it hits so hard and the fire rate is so slow it usually ends up with your teammate cleaning up your kill before you hit your second shot. But it also works the other way around where you will find a lot of times where you can finish the kill of your teammates, because your teammates already put in some shots into the enemy.
Due to the high impact it is very easy to clean up kills with this gun. And it does so at a pretty long range for a hand cannon.
So this gun works really well in a support role, but you want to avoid any 1 on 1 engagement as the other person with a Palindrome or Eyasluna will outgun you most of the time unless you are lucky with your luck in the chamber bullet. But again you cant really rely on that procing for you in every engagement.
But when it does proc in those situations it is really satisfying.

And that is the strength this gun, the fun factor of the gun. It is a fun gun to use, and it puts a smile on my face every time I hear the luck in the chamber proc.
But in order to keep the fun factor up you will need to have one crucial thing when playing with this gun and that is , please do yourself a favor and get a pair of Hand cannon reload gauntlets.
The base reload of this gun is really REALLY slow. It is so slow that by the time I finished this sentence the gun is still in the reload animation. So save yourself the frustration and get a pair of hand cannon reload gauntlets for this gun.
If you are a gunslinger it will help to use Chain of Woe that helps with the reload after a precision kill or use the Ophidian Aspect if you are a Warlock.

So to sum it up, the Ill Will is a very fun gun to use if you have a Luck in the Chamber perk on this gun, if not you will still be able to two shot guardians but only when you are facing guardians with low armor which happens rarely.
