Her Champion

Swaye here with a Destiny video. Today we are going to talk about the challenge of elders shotgun her champion. We will talk about the perks that I got on my Her Champion and I will give recommendation on the perks that you will be looking! At the end of the video I will give my final thoughts on this shotgun!

First of all how can you get this gun?
You can obtain this shotgun by playing the challenge of elders and you can be rewarded with a Her Champion shotgun by Variks.

My Her Champion comes with the perks
soft ballistics
aggressive ballistics
rangefinder
single point sling
rifled barrel
hand laid stock and
replenish.

Perks that you'll be looking for are the ones that can increase the Range like rifled barrel or reinforced barrel and range finder. For barrels you will be looking for Accurized Ballistics and Field Choke to maximize the range again. For the last column underdog replenish or performance bonus would be useful.
People underestimate underdog but this perk can make the difference in one on one engagement when your health is low by boosting your range and handling.
With the current nerf to special ammo, replenish is a good way to get your shotgun ammo refilled when you activate your super and performance bonus is the same due to the same reasons.
Replenish and performance bonus are excellent perks that suits very well with a slayer type of player where you can continue to build up your streak and get special ammo back by either using your super or by getting kills.

Her Champion falls into the higher impact shotgun archetype together with the Conspiracy Theory-D and these guns are very similar. As you can see the rate of fire and impact are the same, but Her Champion is better in all other categories.
It has slightly higher range, it has a higher stability and the reload speed is also higher for the Her Champion Shotgun.
While on paper Her Champion is a bit better in the base stats however in practise these guns feel very similar.
They both kill very consistently and are excellent shotguns for in the crucible.

I do have to mention that if you already have the Conspiracy Theory-D that you can get from the Questline than there is not really a need to grind for this gun unless if you are a collector. The questline Conspiracy Theory-D comes with Rangefinder, Riffled Barrel and Performance Bonus and these are great perks for a Shotgun.

So the famous question is … is Her Champion worth keeping it.
Yes definitely,  keep it if you have good perks, the base stats are great and if you have perks that can max out the range this will become a monster.
Nowadays it is not that hard to finish challenge of elders with 30k points to get a Weapon package from Variks. So go ahead grind that Challenge of Elders and who knows maybe you will end up getting a Her Champion as well!
And if you have one let me know in the comments below what the perks are that you got on your Her Champion.

Destiny: How to use Fusion Rifles Correctly

How to snipe with a Fusion Rifle
Swaye here with a destiny video! Today I am going to present to you an indepth guide on how to use fusion rifles correctly and we are going to have a look into what makes a good fusion rifle. Also I will share with you a technique how you can Snipe with a Fusion Rifle so stay with me until the end of the video! This guide will be mainly focused on pvp as it is much more tricky to have kills with a fusion rifle in pvp than in pve.

Fusion Rifle Weapon Hierarchy
First of all how does Fusion Rifles fit in the meta. Well Jon Weisnewski, Bungie’s SandBox Designer who was responsible for the weapon tuning 2.0 update mentioned the state of Fusion Rifles in the weapon hierarchy.
Jon mentioned that Fusion rifles are optimal at mid-range, where targets are easier to track but they are not close enough to attack while charging up.
It requires combat foresight and the ability to predict a target's movement to use effectively.

  • Fusion Rifles are optimal at mid-range, where targets are easier to track but they’re not close enough to attack while charging up
  • Requires combat foresight and the ability to predict a target’s movement to use successfully
  • Accentuate close range/medium range effectiveness by tuning charge speed and stability

So basically when you are using a fusion rifle you have to stay out of the range of shotguns but also not too far away where your bolts will not be effective.
You will probably lose when you are competing head on head with a shotgun as shotguns are a hitscan weapon. What this means is …. that when a shotgun is fired it will instantly hit whatever the reticle is pointing at, this in contrast with Fusion Rifles which fire projectiles that take time to travel. A rocket launcher would be a good example of a non hitscan weapons.
So you will need to stay out of shotgun range, but you also cant let your enemies stay too far away or else you wont be able to kill them.
When using with fusion rifles you will need to be very aware of the space between you and the enemy. With practise you will learn what is the best engagement distance.

We have some good news though which is that with the latest April update the stability has been increased for Fusion Rifles. In the next section I will explain why stability is beneficial and how that affect fusion rifles.

Stability & Range
Now we know in what kind of range we are operating in lets talk about the technicalities of a Fusion Rifle, we will be specifically be talking about Stability and Range and how this affect the gun.
In order to get the most out of your fusion rifle you want to have high stability that will help with keeping the fusion bolts group together, and secondly you want an high range stat as this will help the bolts travel longer distances so it will land more reliably on your target.
You can also say that Stability helps tighten the bolts and range helps with carrying the damage over a certain distance.

Movement Techniques
Ok now we have covered the theory, lets put this all in practise.
There are a couple of techniques that I want to share with you.
The first obvious technique is to charge behind cover and pop out at the last second. This technique is probably not a surprise to most of the players, This might work the first time, but more advanced players can easily adapt to this. So therefore I have the following Advanced Techniques for you:

Vertical Space,
Because of the charge time you will need to find a way to surprise your enemies. One way to do that is to be unpredictable with your movements by utilizing the vertical space that you have. Try to approach your enemies  from the air and then finish them off with a follow up melee or grenade.
Other way to utilize your vertical space is sliding.
Sliding makes you hard to kill and track and this movement also fits very well with a fusion rifle. Because you can charge while you are sliding especially with quick charging fusions, your shot will be synced while you are exiting from your slide animation when you do this correctly. With this technique you can close the gap or increase the distance if that is the space that you need in that specific situation. You will have control of your spacing and your enemy will be having a hard time to track you.
Jumping and sliding  can give  you a slight advantage in your 1 on 1 engagements by utilizing the element of surprise.

Drag Scoping/ Fusion Sniping
I want to talk to you about Drag Scoping, this term is widely used with Snipers where you scope in and drag your scope towards your target to get the kill. Why am I talking about this. Well most fusion rifles have vertical recoil patterns. As a result most fusion rifle users tries to aim for the feet and let the recoil go up to hit the other body parts.
What most people dont know is that you can also Drag Scope with Fusion to increase your accuracy!
When you drag scope a fusion rifle you can keep the bolts tighter together and increasing your chance for a one hit kill. Since the recoil is upwards , while firing you simply need to pull the gun slightly downwards to keep the bolts together. And this technique works for any fusion rifles regardless of the stability stat.
You might need to practise this a bit before you can consistently do this, but once you mastered this technique you will be able to one shot  guardians from ridiculous ranges!
Basically this technique turns Fusion Rifles into Snipers!
I hope this technique will help you bring back some fun with Fusion Rifles and make this gun type more enjoyable!
Go try out Fusion Sniping in the crucible you will have a blast!

Final Duty Pulse Rifle (God Roll) Review

via IFTTT
Welcome Guardians, this is the YouTube Channel for all things Destiny! This channel aims to provide you news, gameplay and tips & tricks for Destiny. Join and Subscribe for more videos!

Swaye here with a Destiny Video! Today we are going to talk about the Pulse Rifle the Final Duty.

First of all you can obtain this gun by playing the challenge of elders and you might be rewarded with a Final Duty from Variks!

Let's talk about the gun! The Final Duty falls into the mid impact pulse rifle archetype together with the Smite of Merain, the Villainy and No Time To Explain. What stands out in the base stats is the high Stability of 76, this is the highest stat number among this archetype! So you will be looking for perks to max out that stability.

My Final Duty comes with Quickdraw IS and the OEG riflescope,
It has COUNTERBALANCE, Speed Reload, Braced Frame and Injection Mold to bump up the stability and it also has Spray and Play, which increases the reload speed when the mag is empty.

These specific perks can be considered as a God Roll by some. The combination of CounterBalance and Braced Frame makes this gun super accurate, in the next clips you will see that there is basically no recoil at all!
I could use Injection Mold instead but that would decrease the range, and the lower magazine size from Braced Frame is evened out with Spray and Play that increases the reload speed, also couple this with reload gauntlets and you wont have any problems at all when you are out of bullets.
Another good perk in the last column would be Glass Half Full to make the gun more lethal.

So how does this gun perform in PVP? As with any other mid to high impact pulse rifle you want to keep the engagement at medium to long range. At short range you will still be destroyed , in the current meta, by the fast firing auto rifles like the doctrine of passing or arminius-d, but get out of those short ranges and this particular gun is just amazing because it is so dead accurate! Counter balance makes such a big difference and coupled this with Max stability... this is basically a laser beam! There is basically zero recoil with this gun!

This gun feels very consistent because of its accuracy,  do you know the feeling when you are using a hand cannon and you are like… damn I definitely hit that shot, well you wont get that with the Final Duty. If I do not manage to get a hit I know that is to be blamed on my bad aiming and I can not blame my gun for it. Its that feeling when you know your girlfriend is right but you do not want to admit it, that is how I feel with this gun.
One thing I did notice coming from someone that was used to fast firing pulse rifle like the hawksaw is that the gun feels a bit more heavier. You definitely don’t have the snappy feeling that you get from the lower impact pulse rifle archetype, but you will get used to this very quickly.

Overall I think this is a fantastic Pulse Rifle, but you do need to get lucky with the perks. It is really Counterbalance and the maxed out stability what makes this gun handle so well.

Best Fusion Rifles in PvP!

via IFTTT
Welcome Guardians, this is the YouTube Channel for all things Destiny! This channel aims to provide you news, gameplay and tips & tricks for Destiny. Join and Subscribe for more videos!

Swaye here with a Destiny Video! Fusion rifles are fun again! If you do not know about this, bungie has buffed fusion rifles with the latest april update, and that means that they are more useable now! And today we are going to introduce a couple of Top pvp fusion rifles that you can obtain and use immediately in the Crucible.
In this video I will only talk about the Fusion Rifles that you can get from the vendors, because these come with great perks straight out of the box so you dont need to grind for a weapon with the right perks.
I will make a follow up video which goes more in depth on how to use a Fusion Rifle and What makes a good Fusion Rifle, so subscribe if you havent …. to stay tuned for that!

Lets get it started in Number 3 we have the Future War Cult Fusion Rifle the Vortex. The vortex falls into the fast charging lower impact fusion rifle archetype, if you like the Split Shifter Pro you will enjoy this one as well.
This one from Future War Cult has 3 perks that would help you with your target acquisition, First of all it has the Reflex scope that improves the aim assist. Do note that the Vortex has the highest aim assist of 79, so with the reflex scope this will make it easier for you to hit all of your bolts!
Secondly this gun has Hip Fire which improve the accuracy while firing from the hip and in the middle columns we have braced frame to boost the stability or you can choose accelerated coils to reduce the already low charge time even more in exchange for a lower impact.
Since all of these perks are improving your accuracy in a way I would build upon these strengths by opting for Braced Frame instead of Accelerated coils.
However if I am fooling around in Crucible I would chose accelerated coils just for fun! If you are doing so you probably wont have a one hit kill so make sure to have a primary weapon with hot swap for the follow up shot to finish the kill.

Number Two on the list is the Hitchhiker FR4 from Dead Orbit.
This gun has a maxed out Impact of 100. THIS WILL HIT LIKE A TRUCK! On the other hand to compensate for this it does have a pitiful charge rate of 10.
So you want to make sure that the shot that you are firing will hit the target as reliable as possible. And boy this gun has the right perks for it!
It has again the Reflex perk and it also has Hidden Hand to improve the aim assist even more, and that is very necessary as this is the Fusion Rifle with the lowest Aim Assist of 30.
To increase the accuracy even more it has Braced Frame and Hot Swap.
All of these perks will help you land that MAXED out impact on your target!

And in the number one spot we have the Vacancy from the Future War Cult.
This gun has the top spot not only because of the great base stats, it has an high impact but also a very high base stability as well of 72. It is the perks that complements the gun so much in putting the vacancy in the Number 1 pvp Fusion Rifle spot.
All the perks are helping out the Vacancy to land its shot on the target, it has the Torch HS 2 that improves the target acquisition, Hot Swap to gain bonus accuracy while switching weapons, braced frame to max out the stability and range finder which increases the bolt speed so it hits your target faster!

The Vacancy earns the number one spot because it makes up for the weaknesses of the others. The Vortex has a great fast charge time, but makes up for it with the lower impact and the stability is ok but the vacancy has an higher base stability.
The hitchHiker FR4 has maxed out impact but with an OK stability and with the lowest aim assistance value it will lack in accuracy compared with the Vacancy.
This Vendor Roll Vacancy has an high impact and high accuracy and this is all you want from a fusion rifle, yes the charge time can be better but unfortunately there is no fusion rifle archetype where you have a fast charge time and high impact and I dont suggest to have one neither as this will be truly unbalanced.

I am very glad that bungie gives us these amazing vendor rolls. Fusion rifles is a guntype that makes Destiny unique and I hope this will encourage people to use more fusion rifles in the crucible!
As mentioned before I will make another  follow up video which goes more in depth on how to use a Fusion Rifle and What makes a good Fusion Rifle. So go and Subscribe to stay up to date on my latest videos!

The Taken Ship “The Waning Star” showcase

via IFTTT
Welcome Guardians, this is the YouTube Channel for all things Destiny! This channel aims to provide you news, gameplay and tips & tricks for Destiny. Join and Subscribe for more videos!

Swaye here with a Destiny Video! Since the April update I could not get my eyes of the Taken Ship which is also known as The Waning Star. In this video I will tell you more about the ship and how you can obtain one as well!
I got my ship dropped from a Sterling Treasure package. This and the other Taken ship are all possible drops from a Sterling Treasure package, see my video on how to obtain Sterling Treasures to increase your chances of getting one drop as well.
Other than Sterling Packages you can also get this ship dropped from the Crucible and playing the Prison and Challenge of Elders.
The model of this ship looks very similar like the Vault of Glass Raid Ship Aspect of Glass but than in Taken Form. In my opinion this is one of the better looking ships in the game I mean look at the Taken Glow in the front that just looks badass. Also this ship stands out so much when you are flying into battle with other guardians. Too bad that the game still does not allow you to control the ship while it is loading the game, that would be so cool!
Bungie Please do that , Please implement it.

Also dont forget that once you obtained this ship it means that this will be part of your Ship collection! So that means that you can then go to the Ship Kiosk near Amanda Holiday and get this ship from the kiosk for your other characters, so you wont need to grind for it again!
I got tons of remarks on how I got this ship so hopefully this video helps you all out.
I hope you enjoyed this video. If you do and would like to see more go subscribe to stay up to date on the latest videos or visit my Youtube Channel to see more videos.

Thanks  for watching and I will see you later guardians!
