Hi Guardians I have covered all the raid elemental primaries in my previous video And since you guys liked the video so much I thought let's continue this with a top elemental primary series.
So this will be the first of three videos coming up where I will go through the top 3 best guns for the elementals Void, Solar and Arc.

In this video we will go through the void primaries. I expect the Void primaries to become very popular as 2 of the 4 raids the Vault of Glass and the Wrath of the Machine both have void shielded enemies.
Using a Void primary means that you can use your primary to destroy the void shields and you can continue to use your favorite secondary or heavy weapon that might not have the same elemental damage. Not to say that it will replace your dark drinker for the wrath of the machine raid, the dark drinker will still be the most effective exotic for that raid. But if you have a good legendary replacement for the heavy weapon slot then you might want to use the exotic slot for an primary elemental exotic instead.

So lets have a look at all the Void primaries.
We have the vault of glass autorifle the Atheon’s Epilogue,
The hand cannons word of crota and Zaouli’s bane
The king’s fall scout Doom of Chelchis and the wrath of the machine pulse rifle the steel medulla

So lets start with the number 3 spot, this goes to the Word of Crota.
Back in year 1 word of crota was the go to weapon for void burn and that is for a good reason, hand cannons were very consistent and did not suffer that much of a damage fall off. Now range is king on the hand cannon and range is lacking for the word of crota. The base range is at an awful low 25 and hammer forged is able to increase the range but this will still be at a lackluster level at a max range of 37, given the range nerfs this gun is not the consistent gun anymore from year 1 , but hand cannons are still good at dealing big chunk of damage to enemies so the word of crota sits at spot number 3

The number 2 Spot goes to the Doom of Chelchis, this adept version has the fixed perk full auto whereas the legendary version can come with other perks like rangefinder, life support and eye of the storm.
Scouts are the most popular guns for raids and nightfalls because you typically want to stay far away from the enemies as possible at these high light level activities.
And scouts are very accurate, consistent and have a long range that is suitable for these activities, and having full auto on a scout means that you can consistently sustain damage just by holding the trigger.
The Doom of Chelchis also has the perk cocoon which reloads the gun for you when you switch temporarily to your secondary or heavy weapon, this is very helpful during boss damage phases where you start out with either your sniper or heavy weapon and once you are out of ammo you can just switch to you primary which is already automatically reloaded for you. It is just a gamers life enhancement perk.
Other than this the gun does not has much to offer in the perk tree, it has smallbore to bump up the average stats at the expense of mag size , hand loaded for extra range which is not really needed for a scout and lightweight is just meh…
When we look at the base stat this gun is very average and there is no stat that stands out, but in this case that is fine, you want to have a consistent scout , but given the fact that there isnt anything that stands out in the perk tree other than full auto and the cocoon perk which may proc every now and then the Doom of Chelchis earns it number 2 spot.

So in the number 1 spot we have the wrath of the machine pulse rifle the Steel medulla. This gun sits in the comfortable 14 impact archetype like the famous hopscotch pilgrim. The base stat are fantastic, it has an above average range, stability and reload, so this already gives it a head start compared with other similar guns but the Steel Medulla also has additional perks that makes this already great gun even better.
First of all it is a hakke pulse rifle so it fires burst of 4 bullets instead of 3, and in pve this can add up in terms of dps. Second of all the steel medulla has full auto to sustain that dps without the need to release the trigger, and thirdly it also comes with the signature perk sign of four which causes the fourth burst to do extra damage after landing three bursts. So you see how those perks all work together in making this gun even better.
And in the middle column you can have three solid options in the perk tree, Hand laid stock to make this gun even more stabile , high caliber rounds which is the go to perk , this pairs very well with the gun as it can keep yellow bar enemies easily stun locked, and speed reload for that extra reload speed. I recommend to run this with high caliber rounds.
So the steel medulla earns it number one spot with its great synergy of perks making this in my opinion the best Void Primary weapon that you should use for any void activity.

So that wraps it up for the video, a solar and arc top 3 will be coming soon so subscribe to stay up to date on that or if this is the past and the solar and arc videos are already ready in that case you can find it in the right hand corner as a Youtube card.
