Swaye here with a Destiny video. Today we are going to have a look at the Iron Banner Machine Gun Bretomart’s Stand. The description says: “A heavy-fire weapon, forged in fire by the Lords of the Iron Banner”!.
You have a chance to get this dropped when you reach rank 5.

This machine gun falls into the higher impact archetype together with the Ruin Wake, Thunderlord and Qullims Terminus. The strengths of this gun is the high impact and high stability and it performs very well in both PvP and PvE.

But first let me show you the perks that I got on my Bretomart’s Stand!
In the scope section we have Accurized Ballistics, Linear compensator and Soft Balistics.
Hip fire, this weapon has bonus accuracy while firing from the hip.
Quickdraw, injection mold to increase the stability at the expense of range.
Armor piercing rounds and rangefinder.

I like to use soft ballistics and injection mold to max out my stability. This does reduce my range but I have rangefinder to balance that out. Since heavy ammo is scarce, I want to make sure that I am as accurate as possible and land all of my shots to secure the kill and continue my kill streak as long as possible.

The perks I recommend is counterbalance for the first column to increase the stability followed up by spray and play to negate the slow reload speed.

for the middle column you will be looking for:
Rifled barrel , increase range slower reload
smallbore, increase both stability and range , slower reload and lower magazine size
perfect balance, fitted stock and Braced frame to increase the stability
in the last column
Rangefinder to increase the range while aiming down sights
Hidden hand, this weapon gains better target acquisition
Crowd control, to keep your kill streak going with more bonus damage after a kill

The Bretomart’s Stand is stat wise identical to the Ruin Wake and Qullims Terminus. However the perks for raid gun Qullims Terminus are fixed except for the last column , so if you have better perks on Ruin Wake go ahead and use that instead.
So the question is really… do I want to use the raid gun instead. So Cocoon and extended mag are two perks that you won’t find in the normal machine guns. Cocoon is very helpful in PvE where you don’t need to reload when the gun is stowed and you can combine this with smallbore for the extra stability and range. And those perks are a great combo where you can shoot some enemies with the extra stability and range boost….. and stow the gun so it automatically reloads which negates the negative effect of reducing the magazine size from smallbore .
In PvP you want to change smallbore to Extended Mag so you can kill as many guardians as possible before you need to reload.
So that is the raid machine gun, back to the Bretomarts stand. This Iron Banner machine can be rolled with anything compared with Qullims Terminus. Which means that the Bretomarts Stand CAN be dropped with the stability FULLY maxed out , which will make this a deadly laser gun!
Obviously the chance of getting a killer role is based on RNG, so you have to get lucky with that.

So is this gun worth picking up?
Definitely, it has great base stats and if you can get this dropped with stabilty perks it will do work in both Pve and Pvp. And also this is one of the most sexy machine gun I have ever seen, I mean look at it, i like the design and I like the color choice, this is just a sexy gun!

So tell me what perks you got this dropped with
and how do you like the gun?
