Hi Guardians, today we are going to revisit the King’s Fall Raid and I will be giving you recommendations on your weapon load out for each section of this raid.
I have done a similar video on the Crota’s end and Vault of Glass raid , if you want to check it out see the youtube card in the right hand corner or see the link in the description below.

This video shows you my recommendation on what I think the most effective weapons are in each encounter. Obviously Feel free to use any weapons that you want in the raid , but if you want to know what the most effective weapons are, you will want to watch the whole video.
In this weapon loadout video I will split the recommendation in legendaries and exotics, so if you don't have a certain exotic don't feel left out, there is always a legendary replacement which i will call out in this video.

So let’s start with the video.

The start of the raid starts with the section where you will need to collect relics to open up the door to Oryx world. Here the priorities are the annoying taken cabals, that spawn on each side. A shotgun will work very well against these taken cabals and the shotgun also makes it easier to gun down the barriers so your relic holder don't need to deal with that and they can focus on dunking the relics as fast as possible.
In your primary slot any gun will do, I prefer a hand cannon due to the short range encounters but anything will do. As for your heavy slot, a rocket launcher will do the job. It helps clean up groups of enemies and it helps stun the taken cabals for a second which gives your relic holder enough time to pass by them before the taken cabals recover from the blast.
As for exotics since the encounter is pretty straight forwards, kill adds wait for the relic holder to dunk the relic and kill adds again rinse and repeat, so there is no need for any exotic to help you with this encounter, anything will do.

Once you completed collecting the relics and passed the jumping puzzle your next encounter will be the totems. In this encounter there are the knights and wizards which should be your priority. Use a high impact sniper to one shot the knights up top and I like to use a solar machine gun to take down the wizards with their solar shields, the Quilim Terminus is an excellent machine gun to do that, or use any tracking solar rocket launcher like the hunger of crota to deal with the wizards.
For your primary you want to have a long range weapon with a lot of ammo, you will be standing on your totem and you only have time to grab ammo when you are switching the aura, so a scout or pulse rifle will be your preferred choice.
For your exotic slot a Gjallarhorn will be useful against the knights that are coming from the middle and it is also very effective against the wizards. But too be honest there is no must have exotic that is particularly useful for this section of the raid.

The next encounter is the warpriest, Here you want to use your primary to mainly deal with the adds. I like to use the hand cannon here since it can mostly one shot all the enemies.
For the warpriest your exotic choice will be the black spindle sniper or the sleeper stimulant for maximum dps. If you don't have either one of these then use any high impact sniper that you have and make sure you have sniper ammo perks on your armour to maximize the amount of sniper ammo that you can carry. Your priority will be to snipe down the warpriest. Once your sniper ammo is empty than go for your heavy weapon, whether this is a rocket launcher or machine gun and then your primary in that order, unless you are using the sleeper stimulant. In that case use the sleeper, then sniper and when you have extra time use your primary as the last weapon.
Doing this will maximize the DPS of your team and you should be able to 2 phase the warpriest or you can even one phase this if everyone has a black spindle or sleeper with weapons of light , tether and viking funeral.

For the Golgoroth encounter you can use any gun you want in your primary slot. However if you are the gaze holder you want to have a fast firing gun to deal with the balls that golgoroth will be firing at you. Auto rifles and fast firing pulse rifles will do the job here, and for the love of god please don’t use a hand cannon or scout, just don’t….
In your secondary slot use an high impact sniper to snipe down golgoroth and when you are out of ammo switch to a machine gun, don’t use a rocket launcher on golgoroth since somehow rockets do not affects golgoroth crit spot.
Your exotic choice is the same as with the warpriest, use the black spindle or sleeper stimulant for maximum DPS.

Once you finished Golgoroth continue through the jumping puzzle to the daughters. Here you want to use long range primaries like pulse and scout rifles so you can consistently take care of the snipers that are spawning and any other enemies that are spawning in the middle.
Also here you want to use an high impact sniper to hit the daughters followed up by rocket launchers or machine guns. As for your exotic choice use the touch of malice, black spindle or the sleeper stimulant to maximize your damage.

Nothing much has changed for the final encounter against Oryx.
Use a long range weapon like a pulse or scout as your primary and a sniper for the ogres, knights and oryx himself. As for heavies both a rocket launcher or machine gun will do the job.
The exotic choice here is the same use the touch of malice, black spindle or the sleeper stimulant to be as effective as possible in this encounter against ogres, knights and oryx.

The King’s Fall raid is a mechanical heavy raid, most of the time you will need to stand in one place and move to another in a certain amount of time. So this guide should help you being as efficient as possible by using the most effective guns throughout the raid.

Let me know in the comments below if I have missed anything. I have similar guides for the other raids , you can find them in the right hand corner as a youtube card or in the description below.
