Swaye here with a Destiny Video! Today we are going to talk about year 1 legendary weapons that are coming to the Taken King april update! As you might have seen from my New Things to Earn summary there are year 1 legendaries can be infused up to 335 attack light level!
Here is an overview of the year 1 weapons that we know so far that will be affected:
Lets start with the Primary Weapons
The Shadow Price & Grim Citizen III are auto rifles which are in the same archetype as the Suros Regime, you will need stability perks to make sure all of your shots are hitting your targets.
The Badger CCL is an high impact scout rifle like the Jade Rabbit or the Iron Banner Colovance Duty. The base stats are great, and if you have complimentary perks this can turn into one of the best scout rifle in the game! The other scout rifle is the Saterienne rapier, it is in the same weapon archetype as the hung jury with the downside of a low magazine size. You should be fine for now with your Hung Jury instead.
For the hand cannons we have the Lord High Fixer and the Devil You Know. The Devil you know has been an all time favorite back in the days. The base stats with these Hand Cannons are very similar as the same Taken King archetypes like the Finnala’s peril, Imago Loop and Eyasluna. So if you have a good hand cannon at the moment, you might not need to grind for a new one.
For the special weapon we have the comedian shotgun, a mid impact shotgun. With the current meta you want to have a high impact shotgun like the conspiracy-d & party crasher. Unless you are a collector I won’t suggest to grind for this one. The other shotgun is Two To the Morgue, this has a relatively high impact and high rate of fire for a shotgun, the combination of these two makes it having best of both worlds. This was my favorite shotgun in year 1, where I found other shotguns were firing too slow for me and this on is just perfect
You will be very excited if you enjoy using sniper rifles, we have the two popular sniper rifles coming back to the taken king! Specifically the LDR and the Longbow synthesis. These were very popular as these were the go to snipers for bosses in PVE if you didnt had the black hammer and it was popular in the crucible due to the high impact and the fact that you can rez snipe with these guns.
If you get one with good perks or not, try it out before you dismantle it! I am sure you will like it!
For heavy weapons we have the Swarm and the Zombie Apocalypse. Both have outstanding base stats and you will be looking for perks to increase the stability and then a perk to increase the range, but prioritize on stability though as you want to make sure that every shot is hitting your target.
So how will you be getting these year 1 Legendaries. You will be able to earn them only from crucible or vanguard packages by leveling them up.
My favorite year 1 legendaries were the Two to the Morgue shotgun and the LDR sniper rifle and I cant wait to get a year 2 light level version of these!
