Weapon Loadout Guide for Crota’s End 390 Age of Triumph

Hi Guardians , I have been having tons of fun lately playing the crota end raid. However I did noticed that there are still some guardians that have never played this raid before or that they were using the wrong weapons for each encounter, so this video is for you guys where I give you suggestions on what gun to use in each section of the raid. If you are an experienced player stick around, you might see something useful or at least you can add some suggestions in the comments below that I might have missed.

I am totally aware that some guardians might not have certain exotics, dont worry about it , I will break down the gun loadout suggestion in each section of the raid split by legendaries and exotics.
So lets start with the first section of the raid which is the abyss.
You will be facing a lot of low level enemies that will come at you and at the end of the abyss you will find knights, wizards and ogres that you need to deal with.
The main purpose of your primary here is to deal with all of those  low level adds that will be coming at you, any gun with firefly or some crowd control perk will do well here. Fatebringer or any scout or hand cannon with firefly will be the obvious choice. As for exotics the Zhalo Supercell is very effective here, where you dont need to reload as long as you have double kills and the chain lightning exotic perk helps as well with dealing with large crowd of enemies. Or you can use Nechrochasm which is also a lot of fun here since any enemy that you kill will explode.
You want to use your secondary and heavy weapon slot to deal with the knights , wizards and ogres. So I suggest to have a shotgun or sniper as your secondary, and in the heavy slot use a rocket launcher for maximum damage.
As for exotics gjallarhorn will be very effective as you can just shoot and the wolfpack rounds will do extra damage to enemies around the impact area, alternatively you can also use an exotic sword to deal with the knights and you can easily swing the sword around to deal with adds as well.
Dark drinker will be a bit better here than the other swords since it can deal damage all around you, so you wont be easily swamped by adds.

The next encounter is the bridge, depending on whether you are crossing the bridge early or not you will need to stay at your platform and deal with adds. So you will need have a lot of ammo since you can not easily step of your plate, therefore I suggest to use either a scout or a pulse rifle, they are very effective against adds with a minimum amount of bullets required compared to for example auto rifles, I dont suggest to use a hand cannon since the ammo for it is awfully low even when you have the bonus hand cannon ammo perk on, you will run out of ammo fast.

Your secondary and heavy will be used to kill your sword bearer or any knights. So use a sniper , shotgun or rocket launcher to deal with them. Your exotic choice will be gjallarhorn or an exotic sword, in this case the raze lighter is slightly better than the rest because it can focus its damage on one target. If you go for an exotic sword make sure to use a sniper in your secondary so you can get your short and long range covered, the same if you are using a rocket launcher in that case use a shotgun as your secondary.

Once everyone is across and the swords are spawning you can use R1 to swipe and R2 to use the heavy slam. To kill your gatekeeper you will need to use 3 heavy slams, and dont forget that you can use your super as well once this is fully charged, it will do a heavy slam type of attack around you.

Once that section is completed continue through the thrall hallway. This section is not hard so I wont deep dive into this.

At the deathsinger if you are doing the challenge mode, it is so much easier if you have an exotic sword, use the raze-lighter for the focused R2 attack, to kill a knight you will need one R1 Swipe followed by an R2 heavy attack, if you dont have have a raze lighter a dark drinker will do as well. Since time is crucial for the challenge if you are using an exotic sword dont bother to switch to your primary or secondary , to save time just use your sword to kill knights, wizards, orgres and adds , the only time you should be using your primary or secondary is to kill the shrieker in the room.
The full legendary loadout will be slower to complete the challenge but it is in now way a blocker. Use any primary that you want, as for the secondary I highly recommend a shotgun to deal with the knights and wizards, and use a rocket launcher in your heavy weapon slot for the ogres and knights.

For Crota the final encounter, you simply need two things... which is an high impact sniper and a rocket launcher with tracking.
Use the rocket launcher to take down crota , and use the sniper to take down any unwanted knights and the oversoul.
As for exotics you should be using the Gjallarhorn for Crota or if you are on Oversoul duty you can use the sleeper stimulant to take that down.
As for the primary you can use anything you want to deal with the adds.

Once crota is finished hopefully you can enjoy the sweet loot and do this all over again on another character!

So I hope this helps you out with your crota run, let me know in the comments below if I have missed anything. If you like this video I will do a similar gun loadout video as well for the other raids, there will be a youtube card in the right hand corner linking to those videos when its ready or you can find the links to those videos in the description below.
