Top 3 BEST Forge Weapons: Destiny 2 Lost Prophecy Weapons | Curse of Osiris Expansion

Top 3 Forge Weapons from Curse of Osiris

Hi Guardians we welcome back for another destiny in-depth review where I review exotics and legendaries in order to give you a comprehensive understanding of the gear so you can play this game as efficient and effective as possible.

With the introduction of the Curse of Osiris DLC we have a new set of weapons that can be earned in the lighthouse by completing so called verses, which will be unlocked when you complete the campaign story missions.
These weapons can be earned by forging them in the corner of the lighthouse when you complete the verses by doing activities in the game.
I will not go into detail on how to earn these weapons it is pretty straightforward you can earn certain consumables just by playing the game. It is kind a tedious at the moment since the materials are pretty rare, you will for example get on average one dropped every other public event that you complete. So that comes down to playing on average 20 public events before you have the necessary items to forge a weapon, which is not the most fun thing to do.
Especially when you consider there are 12 weapons so that is roughly 240 public events in total, which is rough grind to do.

So having all things considered is it even worth the grind to get these forged weapons. To help you all out I have analysed all the weapons that you can get and created my personal top 3 weapons that I think you should get.
In my analysis I will only look at the weapon's stats and perks since I don't have those weapons yet, without the hands-on experience the gun's stats and perks can already tell us a lot about the weapon whether this is worth considering or not. But I will adjust the top 3 if anything is way off, after I have acquired the guns.

So without further ado in the number 3 spot we have the Infinite Paths 8 Pulse rifle, this sits in the mid fire rate archetype like the vanguard Nightshade pulse rifle. It has everything you want in a pulse rifle decent range and above average stability , reload speed, handling and aim assistance.
So this gun will perform decent in the crucible but it is lacking great perks that can take this gun to the next level. I would like to see something like tactical mag, steady rounds or ricochet rounds to further improve the base stats of this gun and a good final perk like kill clip, rampage or headseeker in order to make this gun stand out from the rest. What we now have is just a pulse rifle with above average stats but without any interesting perks. If it wasn't for the fact that all the other guns are much worse this gun would not have made it to the top 3.

In number 2 spot we have the conqueror 2 submachine gun that sits in the 900 RPM archetype, it has decent range and above average stability and reload speed, and these strengths can be further improved with Tactical mag which increases the stability and reload speed even more and also gives you extra bullets in the mag.
The main perk of this gun is kill clip which grants you 33% extra damage boost when you reload after a kill, this is one of the top tier perk to have on any gun.
This is what make the antiope-d so deadly, and having this on a fast firing SMG archetype will definitely make this gun more interesting and will make the conqueror 2 one of the best 900 rpm SMG in the game.

in the number 1 spot we have the traveler's judgment 5 sidearm, this is the same sidearm as the last hope. This is also a 3 burst weapon and it has roughly the same stats as the last hope. As you can see the range, stability, reload speed and handling are very similar. This gun even has the same perk steady rounds in the middle perk to max out that stability. The Traveler's judgement main perk is different than the last hope, whereas the last hope has zen moment the traveler's judgment comes with in my opinion the better perk headseeker which increases precision damage for a short time when you land a bodyshot.
The recoil of Burst weapons like these typically move up, so when you aim for the body it naturally pulls your aim to the head, so a perk like headseeker pairs up very well with burst weapons like these.
So that extra precision damage won't help you too much with improving your time to kill, you will still kill in 2.6 bursts but it will be much more forgiving when you miss a shot from your burst since that extra damage can compensate for that.
So this is basically a Last Hope but then with Headseeker instead of Zen moment. If you dont have a Last Hope yet then this will be something that you will be looking for, if you already have a last hope you probably won't miss out on anything realistically, as mentioned before they both have essentially the same stats. Unless you really value the headseeker perk you will be just fine with the last hope.

So that is my top 3 of the forged weapons, in my opinion none of these weapons really stand out and none of them is really a must have weapon. They do look pretty cool though, props to the design team which really managed to make these guns look great, but unfortunately a majority of these guns do not have any great perks to make them interesting.
I will still grind for these guns because I am a collector. But unless you are a collector I can not suggest you to grind for these guns, especially in the current state where the necessary materials for forging these weapons are so hard to get.
So if you don't have the DLC you are definitely not missing out on anything.
The current meta weapons will still be the same, you will still see a lot of use of the mida and uriels gift, I dont see that changing anytime soon with the addition of these forged weapons.
Probably you will see a bit more use of the Positive outlook, which I made a separate video about so check that out if you want to know more about that gun.

Thanks for watching, like I said before once I get my hands on these guns and it behaves totally different than I thought I will update this top 3 but for now these are my thoughts. If you want me to review a specific gun let me know in the comments below.

Positive Outlook Auto Rifle In-Depth Review! Best Auto Rifle Season 2 of Destiny 2!

Hi Guardians welcome back for another destiny in-depth review where I review exotics and legendary gear in order to give you a comprehensive understanding of the gear so you can play this game as efficient and effective as possible.

Today we are going to review the Curse of Osiris Vanguard Auto Rifle the Positive Outlook which is one of the three vanguard weapons that you can pick from Ikora at one of the curse of osiris missions. And you should forget about the other options because this is without a doubt the gun you should be picking, this is a fantastic auto rifle. But before I discuss the performance of this gun lets have a quick look at the perks.

The positive outlook comes with the
Precision frame
Jolt PS
Flash HS5
And the Transmission MS7 sights
Accurized rounds
Armor-piercing rounds and
Kill clip

For my pvp setup I like to use the Flash scope together with Accurized rounds to max out the oh so important range stat, and when I am playing PVE i switch it up for Armor-piercing rounds.

I tried the short zoom jolt PS scope but I did not enjoy it and it kicks a bit too much in my opinion , the Flash scope feels much better and that is what I roll with.
This gun sits in the 450 rpm archetype like the Origin Story, Uriel's Gift and the Number from the Future War Cult. One thing all of these guns have in common is that they all have the Precision frame which is basically the Counterbalance perk which make these hard hitting auto rifles very easy to handle, especially if you have extra CounterBalance mods on your gear to improve the recoil direction even more.
The Positive outlook stands out with its higher than average range stat and the final perk kill clip.
Kill clip is what made the Old Fashion Hand cannon and the Antiope-D SMG so popular and deadly.
Kill clip grants you increased damage when you reload after a kill. When we deep dive into the numbers the damage boost is a whopping 33% and it last for 5 seconds.
When we apply this number to the regular time to kill for the 450 rpm auto rifles you will see why kill clip is so strong.

The optimum time to kill with a typical 450 rpm auto rifle on a 200 health guardian is 5 headshots and 5 bodyshots. Where a headshot does 22 damage and a bodyshot 18, while kill clip is proc'd this will bring the headshot damage from 22 up to 29 making it a 7 headshot kill weapon, as opposed to needing 10 shots in a normal scenario.
So this has the potential to be one of the fastest killing gun in the game when kill clip procs.
To be realistic this won't happen often but when you have those magic moments where the stars are all aligned then you can be an unstoppable force in the crucible.

And when kill clip is not active the gun is still very good, it has amazing range and the stability is very manageable. Even after the slight nerf with the latest balance patch, this autorifle archetype is still very strong and I don't believe we will step away from these hard hitting auto rifles anytime soon.
So I can foresee that the positive outlook will be very dominant soon in the crucible especially since this is a guaranteed gun that you can get just by playing the game.

And in Pve kill clip comes in handy as well, as it is the natural tendency in Pve where you kill enemies. It is insanely fun to play pve with the origin story in your kinetic slot and the positive outlook in your energy slot. Where the rampage perk boost your damage output from the origin story and when you switch to your energy weapon kill clip helps you with your dps as well.

The Positive outlook differentiate itself among the other popular auto rifles with the high range stat and with it's top tier kill clip perk , when this perk is active you feel so powerful for those 5 seconds in the game and those moments are so precious, making me forget about all the negativity that is going around about this game.
So it is fantastic in Pvp and it has great utility as well in PvE, and thus I am going to give the Positive Outlook a well deserved A.

Thank you so much for watching this video. I knew this auto rifle would be amazing when I saw the kill clip perk and that it also belongs to the 450 rpm archetype, I had so much fun playing with this gun.

Top 3 Best Iron Banner Weapons!

Welcome Guardians, this is the YouTube Channel for all things Destiny! This channel aims to provide you news, gameplay and tips & tricks for Destiny. Join and Subscribe for more videos!

Top 3 Best Iron Banner Weapons

Hi guardians, today I am going to present you my personal top 3 weapons from Iron Banner that I use for Pvp.
If you want to know more about each specific Iron Banner weapon, then go have a look my in-depth weapon review videos that I have for each gun. You can find a link in the description below or tap the right hand corner to see the youtube card that will link you to those videos.

So without further ado let's have a look at the top 3!

In the number 3 spot we have the Iron Banner Auto rifle the Forward Path. This is gun is so much fun to use, although it does not sit in the competitive 450 rpm archetype this 600 rpm auto rifle can still do great work.
The range is a bit lacking but the handling of this gun makes up for the loss in range. This is just a butter smooth gun, the handling is great and the reload is surprisingly fast and it also has 43 rounds in the mag which means you have plenty of rounds to tackle multiple enemies, and couple this with armor piercing rounds which overpenetrate targets and you have a great gun which occasionally can hit multiple targets, so this is great for game modes where guardians tend to clump up together like control or supremacy.
If it was not for the dominant 450 rpm auto rifles, this gun would have ranked higher in the top 3. But unless the current meta is changed this gun will have a comfortable number 3 spot.

In the number 2 spot we have the Submachine gun the Hero's Burden, this is a fantastic smg and is one of  the best 900 rpm smg in the game. It has everything you want for a good SMG, it has a very high range stat and reload speed, and also an above average stability and Handling. So straight out of the box The hero's burden already has great stats to begin with but this only gets better when you have a look at the perks. It has two amazing perks that makes this gun so good, first of all it has high caliber rounds which is a top tier perk for any gun, on top of that it also has threat detector which will bump up the already good stability , handling and reload speed when your enemies are nearby. As this is an SMG you will be operating on the short range and as a result this perk will proc most of the time when you need to use this gun, giving you a slight advantage that will make or break a gun fight.
So this is a great weapon and make sure to keep this gun when you get one dropped.

In the number one spot we have the Time-Worn Spire pulse rifle. This is hands down my favorite pulse rifle in the game, this gun has the rapid fire frame and it sits in the fast firing 540 rpm pulse rifle archetype.
This gun reminds me of the dominating Destiny 1 Pulse Rifle the Clever Dragon. Sure it is in no way as good as the old skool Clever Dragon but it is still a very solid gun.
The gun is very well rounded and the shots are surprisingly effective on a long lange. Having the highest aim assist of any pulse rifle will definitely help with this , and couple this with zen moment and you have a dead accurate pulse rifle.
If you have a hunter with two counter balance mods on it and you sir have a laser beam of a pulse rifle.
This gun is so consistent and I have mentioned it before in my in-depth review this is without a doubt the best pulse rifle in the game. If somehow bungie decided to bring down the dominant 450 rpm auto rifles than this gun will rise to the top of the meta and thus this is the best Iron Banner weapon and it is ranked as the number 1 in my top 3.
If you want to know more about this gun have a look at my in-depth review video.

Thank you so much for watching this video. The Number FWC Auto Rifle In-Depth Review!

The Number is the fantastic auto rifle from the Future War Cult that sits in the energy weapon slot. This auto rifle is similar to the Origin Story and Uriel's Gift which all belong to the 450 rounds per minute auto rifle archetype which are currently dominating in the current meta.

Before we talk about the performance let's have a look at the perks.
The Number has the
precision Frame
Candle PS
And the Flash HS5 sights
Extended Mag
Ricochet Rounds and
High-impact reserves, where the bottom part of the mag deals more damage

I like to use the Flash Sight and Ricochet rounds to max out the range, which is such an important stat for auto rifles.
If you have used an Origin Story or Uriel's Gift before you will feel very familiar with this gun, it has very similar stats and they behave similar as well because they all belong to the same 450 rounds per minute archetype and all have the precision frame.
This auto rifle archetype is very present in the crucible and used by all top players because they are very consistent in their performance. These guns are relatively stable over the max range of auto rifles and overall just very easy to use.
And the number is the same, it is surprisingly stable and I have no problem controlling the predictable recoil of the gun over a pretty long range.

This is just a great workhorse for any situation whether you take it to the crucible or to pve, it just does its job well which is pumping damage into the enemy in a consistent manner.
It has enough bullets to engage in pvp against multiple enemies and you can increase this as well with extended mag, although I would only recommend extended mag for PVE.
For Pvp you really want to increase the consistency of this gun with Ricochet rounds.
The final perk high-impact reserves is not the best perk to have , in Pvp and Pve the increase in damage is almost not noticeable at all. It jumps only a couple of damage points up when you reach the final bullet in the mag. So don't rely on this to increase your DPS.

So will the number replace your Origin Story or Uriel's gift, that really depends on what you value the most.
I prefer the Origin Story for PVE because it is so easy to proc the rampage perk because of the vast amount of adds in PVE. For PVP I usually use Uriel's Gift because of High Caliber Rounds, but I want to start using a different weapon and that is where the Number comes into play.
Depending on how much you value high caliber rounds, the Number is actually a really good replacement for the Uriel's Gift. Sure High Caliber Rounds is the most popular perk in the Crucible, but that does not mean that the Number is not a potent weapon to use.
Personally I will use the number more often now  because I just want to use a different gun other than the Uriel's Gift in my energy slot.
The number is a great weapon and it has everything you need in an auto rifle, it has good stability and good range and it packs a punch, what do you want more!?

Because this gun is such a good workhorse in both Pve and PVP, I am going to give the Number a B.

Thank you so much for watch this video. If you enjoyed this, have a look at my origin story an Uriel's gift review videos I am sure you will like it.
Let me know which gun you want me to review next.

Stochastic Variable FWC SMG In-Depth Review! Mini Antiope-D & Uriel's Gift 2 in 1 Gun!

Stochastic Variable FWC SMG In-Depth Review

The Stochastic Variable is the future war cult sub machine gun that you can earn by pledging to future war cult in the current faction rally event of november 2017.
Personally I have three characters all pledge to a specific faction, my titan is pledged to dead orbit , my warlock to new monarchy and my hunter is pledged to future war cult.
I am very impressed with the weapons from future war cult, all of the weapons are great, the hand cannon is interesting with the delayed explosive rounds, the scout is like a legendary version of the mida, the dragonfly pulse rifle which I made a video about is great, the number is a great auto rifle, the sidearm in itself is actually ok but unfortunately it is overshadowed by the better suros and omolon sidearms.
So yeah I am very impressed with the weapons from future war cult so far and when this smg dropped I could not wait to make a video about it.

So let start with the perks of this smg.
It has the lightweight frame
Candle PS
Torch HS3 sights
High Caliber Rounds
Accurized Rounds
Phase Magazine
And Tap the trigger

This is the most versatile smg in the game. Due to Phase Mag you can actually change the archetype from 900 rounds per minute to the antiope-d archetype which is 600 rounds per minute. It will not out range the Antiope-d in the 600 rpm mode but it has solid range when you use the Torch sight.
Or you can stick with the 900 rounds per minute archetype and use high caliber rounds and you will have a mini Uriel's Gift.

I like to use the the antiope-d set up and couple this with a medium to long range weapon like auto rifles or scouts, and I switch back to high caliber rounds for close quarter maps or when  I use a hand cannon or pulse or auto rifle.
This is a smg so stick to the short to medium range, but be careful on the short range you will still be melted by the Last Hope, and don't get into the auto rifle range neither where you will be picked off by auto rifles which has less damage fall off.
So it is a fine line to balance in terms of range, but that is what makes this game so much fun every gun has their optimal range.
The fact that this is a energy weapon means that you will be able to shred roaming supers, when they come close to you.
This is just a very versatile weapon.
In Pve I like to use the Mini Uriels Gift set up with High Caliber Rounds, this is where the superb handling of the Stochastic Variable shines. Not only does it shred adds in no time, you can quickly move around and continue to clear adds with minimum downtime.

Overall the Stochastic Variable is a very versatile SMG, you basically have a lesser version of the Antiope-D and a mini Uriel's Gift at all times, and you can easily switch between them depending on the maps.
I am going to this gun a B.

Thank you so much for watching, this weapon was really fun to test, especially because it has the two firing modes. As a result it did take a long time to test it out, but it was fun to use this gun and I am glad that we now have a solid review video for you all.

Heart of Time FWC Pulse Rifle In-Depth Review! Best Pulse Rifle?

via IFTTT
Welcome Guardians, this is the YouTube Channel for all things Destiny! This channel aims to provide you news, gameplay and tips & tricks for Destiny. Join and Subscribe for more videos!

The Heart of Time FWC Pulse Rifle In-Depth Review

Hi guardians, today we are going to review a unique weapon the future war cult pulse rifle the heart of time. This is the pulse rifle that could have been sold during the first faction rally, but as you all know dead orbit has won that time so we did not manage to get that weapon. With the second faction rally happening now this weapon came back in the weapon pool of future war cult and I was lucky enough to get one drop for me.

I was very excited about this weapon because this is one of the few fast firing legendary pulse rifles in the game, and on top of that this is also one of the few weapons that has dragon fly which is essentially the firefly from destiny 1. This is the perk that causes a small explosion when you hit a precision kill, which is very useful for crowd control in pve.

The heart of time sits in the 540 rounds per minute archetype like the Iron Banner The Time Worn spire and the Lincoln Green.
It has the Rapid Fire Frame,
Candle PS and the
Impulse MS3 sights
Steady Rounds
Tactical Mag
And Dragonfly
I like to use the Candle scope which is nice and clean, and tactical mag because without it I find the reload speed a bit too slow for this gun.

So how does this gun performs in PvP. Well it is a very fun gun to use, it really feels like playing with the Clever Dragon back from Destiny 1. For those who are not familiar with it the Clever Dragon was for a time dominating in destiny 1 until they nerfed it. But this gun is in no way as powerful as the clever dragon back in Vanilla Destiny, it's great on the medium range but if you go a bit further than that then the damage fall off is very noticeable and you will not be able to compete with auto rifles or scouts.
I like to use this gun on small to medium maps and I like to pair it up with the Sondok-C submachine gun in my kinetic slot, because I am still not lucky enough to get an Antiope-d drop for me. For those who dont know it the Sondok-C is basically the blue version of the Antiope-D, I made a video about this you can find the link in the description below or in the right hand corner as a youtube card.
The submachine gun in my kinetic will cover the short range, and the heart of time will do its job in the medium range, and as mentioned before stay out of the long range you won't be able to compete with scouts and auto rifles.
The gun does bounce a bit but it is totally manageable, if you want you can use counterbalance mod to improve that a bit. I did just fine without it though.
I do find the reload speed a bit too slow for me, most of the time when I run out of bullets I will just switch to my kinetic weapon instead of reloading because the reload time is so slow. You will find very often that you will need to disengage and find a safe spot where you have time to reload all the weapons again. And this can really slow your pace when you are on a good killing spree, so you just have to be cautious with that.

The final perk dragonfly will not be that useful in Pvp, sometimes it does it work well when guardians are clumped up together but that is very rare. You will find better use with this in Pve where ads are more often clumped up together, especially in public events.
The weakness of the fast firing pulses in PVE is very noticeable in their damage output, the dps is lower than the popular auto rifles and the damage fall off can be quite drastic when you pass the medium range. This is a bit evened out with the usefulness of the Dragonfly perk, which will up the value of this gun in PVE.

So having said all of this the heart of time is a very solid gun for both Pvp and PVe. However at this time of the video I really need to compare this gun with the Iron Banner Pulse rifle the Time Worn spire. And when you put them together you will see that The Time-worn spire is better than the heart of time in all aspects. The range, stability, reload, and aim assist are all better than the heart of time. Don't get me wrong the Heart of Time is still a very good pulse rifle, however I do need to address the differences in order to make these reviews as objective as possible. If you want to know more about the time-worn spire have a look at my in-depth weapon review video.
So the heart of time is a very solid gun , but unfortunately it does lack a bit when you compare it with the time-worn spire and thus I am going to give this future war cult pulse rifle a solid B.

Thank you so much for watching this video, I really had a great time testing this gun in pvp and pve, the fast firing pulse rifles are really a good change from using auto rifles instead. I highly recommend you to try out this gun it is really fun.
Let me know which gun you want me to review next in the comments below.
