Techeun Rage

Swaye here with a Destiny Video. Today we are going to talk about the Challenge of Elders Fusion Rifle the Techeun Rage. I will give you recommendations on the perks that you want for this gun and we are going to compare the Techeun Rage with other  fusion rifles in the game. Lastly I will give you my final thoughts on the gun.

You can obtain the Techeun Rage by playing the Challenge of Elders and you can be rewarded with this fusion rifle by Variks.

My Techeun Rage comes with :
OEG scope
Red Dot ORA
Last Resort
QuickDraw
Rifled Barrel
Accelerated coils
Kneepad

Before I give you my recommendations on the perks lets talk a bit about this gun first. The Techeun Rage has a strange spot among the other Fusion Rifles. Let me explain, on the one hand you have the slow charge time but high impact fusion rifle like the Hitchhiker FR4 and on the other end of the spectrum you have the high charge rate but low impact fusion rifle like the Split Shifter Pro and then you have the Mid Charge Mid Impact ones like the Panta Rhei. Strangely enough the Techeun Rage is a Mid Charge but low impact fusion rifle. With a charge rate of 26 you would expect the impact to be somewhere around 80. However the impact of the Techeun Rage is 71, which is lower than the high charge rate low impact Split Shifter Pro, which has a Charge rate of 34 , 8 higher than the Techeun rage, and an impact of 74.
Normally you would expect the charge rate and impact to to be tied together, so if the charge rate is higher than the impact would be lower and the other way around. That is how weapon balancing works for example you would see a high impact weapon but then it would have a slower rate of fire or low impact but high rate of fire. So it is really weird to find the Techeun Rage in a Mid Charge Rate with a low impact, you would expect a mid impact.
In that case you might as well go for a high charge rate and low impact fusion like the Split Shifter Por or the Vortex, which has a higher Charge rate AND also a higher Impact. So stat wise there is no reason to choose the Techeun Rage.
The only redeeming stat for this gun is that the aim assist value of 80 which is the highest among the fusion rifles. But then again the Vortex has a higher charge rate, higher impact, higher range, reloads faster and is only 1 point down on the aim assist value.

So basically the Techeun Rage already starts at a disadvantage with his base stats compared with other guns. So what perks would you need, to improve this gun. Instead of utilizing accelerated coils and and makes this gun a lesser variant of the Vortex, I would recommend to focus on the range instead with Rifled Barrel. Maxing out the range will increase the bolt speed but this also comes with Aim assist and accuracy boost. Couple this with Hidden hand in the first column and Rangefinder in the last column and you will have a dead accurate Fusion Rifle that will feel very consistent.

I used Rifle Barrel on my Techeun Rage and this gun feels very consistent, it seems like the bolts feel very sticky. I also played with the Vendor Roll Hipfire, braced Frame, Vortex and I have to say that I have more success with my Techeun Rage.
The gun feels very good, the charge rate is acceptable and the shots are very accurate.

The Techeun Rage should not feel this good according to the stats, but strangely enough I have to say that this is a good Fusion Rifle and i would recommend it if you do not like the slow charging fusions like the Vacancy or the HitchHiker FR4.

Let me know about your thoughts on this gun, how do you feel it performs compared with the slower high impact or faster low impact fusions. I am really curious what your opinions are on the Techeun Rage and what perks you got on it.
